STILL MEADOW · PAINTING GUIDES

From a wall to a painting.

Understand dimensions, production, framing and delivery before choosing a painting for your life.

How to choose a painting size

Start with the wall and the furniture around it. A useful size is one you can judge at the distance from which you will actually see the painting.

Original, made to order or commissioned?

These terms describe different parts of a painting purchase. Confirm both who creates the work and whether you are buying an existing canvas or asking for a new one.

Choosing a frame for an oil painting

A frame changes the boundary between a painting and its surroundings. Compare the image, the frame material and the room together, rather than choosing a finish in isolation.

Preparing a painting for delivery

The right delivery arrangement depends on the physical painting, frame and destination. Confirm the plan before payment and keep the agreed details with your order.
